New salt mine for me...today is the first official day on the new gig.

Morning. Made it as far as Chicago last night. Now on standby to try to get to KC this morning. Most likely will be on an afternoon flight to Topeka this afternoon.

I'm back at the salt mine too, for two days. Shucks. Darn.

Re: The Official "Good Morning" Thread
Good morning. Made it back to KS about 15 hours behind schedule. So much for getting a lot done on my extra day off. Note to self: Do not fly through O'Hare - an airport just made for flight delays. The landing in Topeka was enough to make me want to kiss the ground when I got off the plan - the left wing tip sure looked like it was awfully close to the ground as we touched down.

A successful landing is one you walk away from. A GREAT landing means you can use the plane again.

Re: The Official "Good Morning" Thread
The pilots were not standing in the cockpit doorway as we deplaned. I'm not sure if that had to do with the size of the plane or the wetness/dirtiness of their pants.windsor wrote:DukieInKansas wrote:Good morning. Made it back to KS about 15 hours behind schedule. I had forgotten the corollary about a great landing. I did comment on the successful portion after we touched down.
