Then again, BD may need to be the archivist.
You don't walk the plank in NJ. You just disappear. Forever.
Re: LTE 2.0
Well, the prospects are looking strong to quite strong that I've lost my hat. Best I can figure is that I dropped it somewhere between my car and my apartment yesterday (totally possible). Irritating, but really not something I'll fret a great deal about. The question of my having or not having a Braves hat in my life is simply not even a question, so if it comes to that, I'll be buying another when I get back to Atlanta, end of story.

At first I was scared that this was THE hat...as in the pirate hat. That would have been a true loss.wilson wrote:Well, the prospects are looking strong to quite strong that I've lost my hat.

Re: LTE 2.0
I got my alumni associaton card today, and 2 other cards. The other 2 cards let me in for free to a bunch of art museums all across the country (reciprocal membership). I don't know why one card doesn't cover both..but it's cool. One of the museums is the NC Museum of Fine Art...I haven't been there in years.

Sue, I never heard (or may have missed it in another thread) - how did the apartment fire start? I'm going to assume it wasn't in your apartment....

My oven caught on fire. There was no food in it at the time. First time I'd turned it on.

Re: LTE 2.0
My neighbor's oven almost caught on fire, but he WAS cooking. I watched it as the whole element sparked itself down to a nub. It was turned off, but just kept burning itself until nothing was left.Sue71 wrote:Au contraire, mon frere (ok not a frere but you get the idea...).DevilAlumna wrote:Sue, I never heard (or may have missed it in another thread) - how did the apartment fire start? Re: LTE 2.0
I find Marble Slab wholly superior to Cold Stone. CS's ice cream is way too sweet and rich just by itself, let alone with all the mixins they try to foist upon you. Nothing beats Marble Slab's sweet cream n' strawberries.wilson wrote:I worked at a Marble Slab Creamery (the Wendy's to Cold Stone's McDonald's) for a summer. The most fucking miserable place and experience of all my years. I still have a burn scar on my elbow from the edge of the waffle (cone) iron. On more than one occasion, I've been with friends who wanted to go there, and opted instead to stand on the sidewalk and wait for them. I refuse to ever return.

There's a particular model that I wear that they sell at Lids. No Lids here in Charleston.YmoBeThere wrote:Why do you have to buy it in Atlanta?wilson wrote:Well, the prospects are looking strong to quite strong that I've lost my hat. I watched the exact same thing happen in my first apartment ever, on Watts St. in Durham.CameronBornAndBred wrote: My neighbor's oven almost caught on fire, but he WAS cooking. Re: LTE 2.0
OMG, really?! That's TERRIBLE! Seriously, I can see how insurance companies would be pointing the blame around (appliance @ fault? user@fault? apartment complex @fault?) - no wonder they're causing you pain, but man oh, man, Sue, so much sorrier to hear.Sue71 wrote:Au contraire, mon frere (ok not a frere but you get the idea...).DevilAlumna wrote:Sue, I never heard (or may have missed it in another thread) - how did the apartment fire start? Hope you hit up your favorite ice cream store EVERY single night this week.
