Duke vs GT, 9/14 3:30 kick--Menu & Attendance Thread
Ciao a tutti! It's time to get this M&A posted, and look forward to welcoming the Rambling Wreck to campus. TBCC's main course and appetizers will be updated as we wake up from our daily naps, but we are looking at going with a fun theme, one we haven't done before. A couple years ago we went with a Mexican menu, this game we are heading off to Italy!
Plan on seeing one large tray of ground beef lasagna, one large tray of a white sauced spinach manicotti, pizza and peppered smoked chicken pasta. Sides will include garlic bread, stuffed mushrooms, garlic shrimp. Desserts will be keen to the coffee lovers.
Buona mangia!!
TBCC (+9): Bruchetta, Roasted Mushrooms stuffed with spinach, bacon & Feta, Smoked Italian Wings, Lasagna, Spinach Manicotti, Grilled pizzas & flat-bread, Six Pepper pasta with smoked chicken, Grilled Garlic shrimps, several loaves of Italian Bread, Dark Chocolate Cupcakes with Espresso Buttercream frosting, Chocolate Espresso cups, Ice, assortment of brews, iced tea, water, SBM fixin's.
Total Attendace= 54

Tiger Devil and I will be there bringing sweet $ and the crucial pimp-cake! Also, our amigos Craw and Myriah will also be attending... we'll update later with their contribution. LGD!

Ozzie +1: hot dogs that you already have plus non-Italian brownies!
Are the buns we had leftover still hanging around?

Two lawgrads. Dead presidents. Perhaps in $1 increments, for transfer to Cathy's mom for maximum stuffing into TNT's pasta.

Bob Green +3: my Dad Grover, Sister Elaine and Nephew Mark will be attending this game with me. We will kick in $ for the Cookie Jar and I'll bring some sort of side dish. I'll let you know once I figure it out. I'll contribute a six pack of New Belgium 1554 Enlightened Black Ale to the group beer cooler.

Don't know how many folks I will be bringing at this point, but I can bring more footlong buns, if needed. How many packs are needed? Like beer, they come in six-packs, but with lower ABV and IBU's!

There are 15 dogs in the pack. For those that only want "half a dog", the shorter buns work great, so a mix of both is best!dpslaw wrote:Don't know how many folks I will be bringing at this point, but I can bring more footlong buns, if needed. The pimp-cake has been confirmed as the "Lemon Almond Butter Cream" variety.

I'm going to bring some vegetables that are easy to quickly cook on the grill: asparagus and zucchini. Those should fit in nicely with the Italian theme. I'll even volunteer to grill them, but Tim normally just tells me to get the fuck out of the way.Bob Green wrote:I'll bring some sort of side dish. I'll let you know once I figure it out.

There will be 4 devildeac representatives, none of whom will be the original and his dear, sweet wife. They will bring oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and a buncha garlic knots/breadsticks.
[redacted] them and the horses they rode in on.

cheermom +2. In addition, TBCC will again host the lovely ladies of the Duke Cheer White Squad. That's 14 cheerleaders and coaches.
We will bring salad, fruit, deviled eggs, nonalcoholic beverages for the cheerleaders, and brownies in honor of cheerdaughter's 23rd birthday. Sorry to double up on brownies, but they are a family birthday tradition. I have been told the cheerleaders will not eat much, but we will toss in some $$ for good measure.

Party of one. Beers to share, taste, trade. Maybe I'll head over to TW and see if they have any beers from Italy in keeping with our theme this week. Another case of water. Maybe it will last a little longer than it did at the NCCU game. That case was gone before the game started. I don't mind though, less to carry back to the car. AW.
Re: Duke vs GT, 9/14 3:30 kick--Menu & Attendance Thread
Better late than never, I suppose. It will be just Tom and me again this week. We'll bring hot dog buns (footlong and regular), beer, and bucks.
By the way, according to my translation app, "hot dog buns" is Italian for hot dog buns.

Sounds like you'll have another super day! The weather is absolutely mahhvulus! As usual this year, our status is "day to day" as they say, depending on which of the patients (4-legged AND 2-legged) around here can stand up. This time, though, it's even hour to hour. Still don't know if we can make it. If we do, we won't be partaking -- just stopping by to say hi again. We sure do miss ya.
