SO fun seeing everybody today! Janet had a chair all ready for the OP so Native and I got to go around schmoozing without worrying about him. Thanks Janet.
CB&B's new "pimp" hat is nothing less than charming! And it was super to see Ozzie's optimism paying off and making that cherubic grin of his spread even wider! And it was great running into Tillie and lawgrad after the fireworks!!! You all are looking great.
Other bright spots of the day, aside from the well earned blowout of course, was seeing and hearing the band absolutely outshine the Marching Sound Machine. I was SO proud of them. They were classy and brassy and beat the Eagle band at their own game. Then there were all those students in attendance. Now, if we can just get them to stay a while rather than leave early to get their party started. Native is working on that.
This team rocks. It's gonna be a terrific season! To hell with Carolina!

WOW! That was so much fun. THANK YOU to the TBCC for a fabulous tailgate experience.
TNT, I'm not sure if you even noticed, but many many people stopped by our upper tent to admire your big, ahem. . . grill. Your onion dip was divine, the burgers were juicy and the potato salad was the best I've ever eaten.
Bob Green, those "Chinese Doughnuts" were the tastiest egg rolls I've ever had. YUM!
DevilDeac, that beer you let me taste was very good. Remind me on the reviews which one it was.
It was so good to visit with everyone yesterday. It felt like a family reunion, a warm and winsome place to gather and celebrate all things Duke, but more importantly, to celebrate friendships. Gadzooks, it was so fun to FINALLY meet you and Bill and your cute little dudes! IowaDevil, thanks for joining us via Lawgrad's Facechat. And to all of the rest of you, thank you for making the first tailgate of 2013 a memorable one!

My Thanks! That was the next best thing to being there! I could almost smell the yummies on the grill! Hope we can do that again and meanwhile I'll see you for the Miami game with the Old Ref in tow!

TigerDevil and myself likewise had a fantastic time.. It was great to see the gang again and catch up with a lot of you. The food was incredible as always and I believe TD is going to make the 'pimp-cake' a regular addition to match Chris's pimp-hat. See you all for Georgia Tech and hopefully with a 2-0 record!!
