It's a glorious morning, even if I barely slept and only have one fingernail left on either hand. The sun is out bright, the birds are singing, it's Valentine's Day, and I see the smoke of distant fires reporting a victory.

As Coach K said after the BC game, "God bless America."

An open letter to the nice man in the tan Chevy Blazer with the Duke magnet on the back and the Duke trailer hitch cover, the one at the Rt. 220 business/220 bypass stop light this morning about 8:30.

The person who pulled up next to you and started gesturing was me. The magazine I was holding up was the GoDuke cover with Austin Rivers and Jamison Crowder. It was the only Duke thing I had in reach that would have been remotely visible to you. If I had held up my class ring, that would really have been meaningless.

I'm really not crazy. I'm just a CRAZIE.

I was just thinking, if your wore your ring on your middle finger than it would not have been totally meaningless, but it sure would have been taken the wrong way.

Good Morning!

Expecting the coldest weekend of the year - Sunday night might dip into the 30s. Ugh.

Lucky I have 3 dogs (obscure rock reference).

Doing some cleaning (bleh)
Then some baking on mix-zilla. French Bread. Apple Oatmeal and Chocolate Chip Banana quick breads, probably more soft pretzels (cause they were freakin' awesome) and 'steakhouse' black bread (allegedly the stuff the serve at Outback, which I love.
Oh and a big ol pot marinara just because.
