AVG popup warning

Post by CameronBornAndBred » January 10th, 2013, 6:02 pm

When I logged onto the forum just now, AVG popped up saying it blocked something. I've emailed SiteLock, the folks who scan CTN to verify that this is or isn't something that I (or we) should be concerned about. If anyone has any alerts, let me know.

I've been getting alerts all week.

I didn't get a popup from AVG, but then it missed a virus I got last week.

I got a reply from sitelock folks. It's basically a false positive, which means nobody is at risk. It's still annoying though.

My work laptop uses Symantec, and for the last week, whenever I go to the our house forum, it no only reports that the site is under attack, it immediately blocks access to the site for 10 minutes. After I am done serving my 10 minute major penalty, if I go to CTN, the same thing happens again. So, effectively, I have had zero access this last week or so.

No problems with my iTouch right now, but I can't stand this bs problem. ITouch is okay, but I'd really like to be able to use my laptop to access CTN. X(

Any hope?

Not unless they actually find something to remove. I'll send another report.
