What can I say? It's a New York kind of Christmas where all sorts of traditions came together to celebrate family and love.

Sounds fabulous!! I wanna see lots of pics! Merry Christmas!!
Keep checking FB. I'll post them there eventually.

We had a nice Christmas. We don't know what next year will bring for Mom, so we made this year count. Mom can barely talk but can still sing, so my sister got out a hymnal and we sang with her. Very bittersweet. (My mom has Alzheimer's, for those who don't know.) My sis-in-law bought special weighted silverware for Mom. She has a tremor that makes eating difficult; hopefully the new silverware will help.

We made special efforts to be ready for snow, gathering sleds and wind suits. All the snow went south of us; we ended up with maybe an inch. :Boo:

I have to share that my brother (who I'm sure has no clue where Duke is, and probably hasn't watched a college game of any sort in years) knows me too well cuz he sent me a pair of Duke pj's for Christmas! Paired up with my GTHc shirt they make perfect lounge wear! The best gift of the season I think! Pix on FB if you really need to see this getup! :D

My 22 month old niece got a Let's Rock Elmo doll for Christmas. I spent just over an hour tonight singing and dancing with my niece and Elmo. When a cute toddler points to you and tells you to dance, you do it. She pulled her mom and dad into the party, too. A fun time was had by all.

Paducah?

Maybe you should spray point a town sign:

Padukeh

and see how it goes over?

Aww! Thanks, DukePA! :ymblushing:

My niece is the cutest toddler ever. To borrow a throatybeard-ism, she is weapons-grade cute. Baby is obsessed with chocolate. Yesterday she asked repeatedly for chocolate, usually when meals were being prepared. My sister baked spice cake for dessert last night. My niece ate it, repeatedly asking for chocolate while doing so. I couldn't do anything but laugh. It's hard to argue with the brilliance of a 22 month old who already recognizes the importance of chocolate (or ca-ca-clat, as she calls it).
