Re: Happy birthday Turk!
Thanks for the birthday hallucinations. Mrs. Turk and I spent the evening at 8th grade Curriculum Night, where we learned all about the exciting indoctrination, um, education program the teachers have planned. "We learned more from a three minute record than we ever learned in school..." Where did all the chalkboards go? And what about all these violins on television? Oh, never mind...
Next night: A bucket of balls at the driving range (maybe), leftovers for supper, then took the 8th graders to the local HS football game. (I passed up Vegas for this?!?) Living the dream!!

Take heart, young Turk. When you are older, you will look back and see what all the Turklets (Turklings?) have accomplished and you and your better half will have a Victory (or Dogfish Head) brew or three and realize all those years were worthwhile.Turk wrote:Thanks for the birthday hallucinations. And a belated Hoppy Beerthday, too.

Flattery will get you everywhere, DDeac, thanks. Unfortunately, I have to be young at heart, as the rest of me hit a birthday that ends in zero and qualifies me for membership in AARP, and I think my knees are several years older than that. And yes, I lucked out with the young Turks - they're a good bunch even if I need to hit the hard-headed one with a bat every now and again to keep him in line.

Belated Happy Birthday Turk! I'm much closer to my AARP card than I would ever care to admit.
