As far as etiquette is concerned, may I suggest that you use a toothpick or something to etch "103-104" into the pie crusts before filling it? Then you and ILJ can walk around at the party snickering as all the Kentucky folk have a slice of humble pie.

You must do this. Absolves you of anything. I say just bring the peachy goodness and label it properly.CathyCA wrote:^Post of the decade!!!^Miles wrote:As far as etiquette is concerned, may I suggest that you use a toothpick or something to etch "103-104" into the pie crusts before filling it? I was trying to figure out a way to suggest Laettner Pie, but hadn't come up with anything yet... How about a Stomp Pie!CathyCA wrote:^Post of the decade!!!^Miles wrote:As far as etiquette is concerned, may I suggest that you use a toothpick or something to etch "103-104" into the pie crusts before filling it? What an utterly, fantastic, irresistible idea! Please do it and send a pic. I'd love to see their faces when they see it! Be quick with your camera because the first person to dig a spoon into it will, no doubt dig right into the very middle of the message!

Will the Humble Pie contain any special ingrediants like Minnie's Chocolate Pie for Miss Hilly? (circa THE HELP) ?

I might have it for breakfast.CathyCA wrote:This is exactly what I would do.ArkieDukie wrote:I'll second DitBD's suggestion to look at Southern Living for recipes.
Maybe you could just add bourbon to the peach cobbler.
Desserts are side dishes as far as I'm concerned. In fact, if I saw a peach cobbler made with bourbon, I'd probably have it as my APPETIZER.

I'd take some Horse Piss.Lavabe wrote:OOOOHHHH... the situation just got more complicated.
Initially, they said side dish. This was about six weeks ago. In the most recent email, it said "favorite Kentucky dish." As the peaches are all from Kentucky (and neither ILJ nor I know many Kentucky dishes other than hot browns and KFC), I think I'm in the clear to make peach cobbler.
Am I in the clear?

I probably would not take any calipari, err, calimari. Same difference, I guess if I really think about it.

Anything that requires "stomping" before/as it is prepared?CathyCA wrote:^Post of the decade!!!^Miles wrote:As far as etiquette is concerned, may I suggest that you use a toothpick or something to etch "103-104" into the pie crusts before filling it?
