The neighbors over on the next cove had their usual fireworks spectacular last night -- complete with Sousa playing as loud as they could crank it up. That's always fun with everybody in their boats out there honking and cheering for their favorites. The night time float back to our dock is always so pretty with everybody out there under the moon with running lights on and music playing everywhere.

We took a ride on the SheDevil this morning before it got so hot. It was nice then --- but, soon it got brutal. It's been the quietest Fourth on the lake that I can remember. People just don't want to be out there.

The OP's Hebrew Nationals were great and so was my banana puddin'. Then everybody seemed to sort of crash for power naps and watching Wembledon.As soon as the sun is over the yard arm, we'll make vodka and tonics and take another cruise before bedtime.

I'm staying behind tomorrow for a day of painting all by myself.... and maybe a solitary dip. (At this age and condition,I only swim in solitary out of respect for others.)

I think the Costco all beef dogs are better. They have more flavor. Had those and burgers on the grill here tonight too! Next, home made ice cream for desert!

We had a nice steak dinner tonight. Our grandson, Kyle, spent the afternoon and early evening with us but could not stay tonight. He is taking care of Dana's dog, Sully, the bird and the cat while she is at DukePA's.
