Harley is still improving! Thank goodness. He still has a ways to go before he's back to normal. He's not limping near as much. His "ankle" joints are not near as puffy. Boy, the vibes do work, as we know. Hugs to all of you from Harley and me.

Re: Harley needs your vibes!
I've been limping for weeks with a stiffness in my lower back that translates to my right hip.
Maybe I should check for ticks.
Glad to hear your pooch is improving.

The lab lost Harley's blood work. I have to take him in Friday to re-do. Harley is acting like his old self except for trying out quicker. That makes me happy.

Sounds like the Lyme's thing is not likely. Whew. Hope they aren't charging YOU for the re-do. So glad to hear that Harley's tail is wagging again! Give him an extra hug from Lucky's humans.

Re: Harley needs your vibes!
We are not going to be charged for the duplicate meds. We should get the results Monday. Our good friend, Jim, has Harley. He loves him like we do. I met Bud this evening in Rocky Mt., after my visit to Kenansville. He's working here through Friday. I'm leaving Thursday for Efland. I'll update Harley when I get back home.
Thanks everyone for asking. The vibes are wonderful.

Re: Harley needs your vibes!
Harley is much better but still not out of the woods. His labs from this past Fri. are better but may need to be done again. Much of the time he seems normal but still tires more than he did. He is eating good. For Harley, that is a plus. He has never been a "chow hound" and stays on the thin side. That's not a bad thing. I think he's going to be fine but am keeping a close watch on him. Thanks for asking. We all do love our pets.Ima Facultiwyfe wrote:Just checking back in on Harley. Everything still good?

Ever since Lucky's bout with Lyme's he has always tired more easily. The same may be true for Harley after this. Hot weather really does a number on him. Here's hoping for more steady improvement for Harley soon.

That's interesting. Have you noticed any other side effects from Lyme's?Ima Facultiwyfe wrote:Ever since Lucky's bout with Lyme's he has always tired more easily. Not really. He's been through so many things that it's hard to tell where one leaves off and another begins.Very Duke Blue wrote:That's interesting. But, just today I heard of ANOTHER lab miracle! I have a dear friend who was devastated last week to discover her Mollie had suddenly gone completely blind. Her vet told her there was nothing that could be done. It was the saddest thing to watch her try and get around. She even fell down a whole flight of stairs. Then a couple of days ago the vet called back to say he'd been thinking about it and had an idea he'd been reading up on. He said it was a long shot, but that he had heard of a tick born disease that inflamed the area surrounding the optic nerve to the point of blindness and that he thought it was worth a shot to treat it. 14 doses of steroids and antibiotics a day for the last three days has resulted in Mollie jumping for a treat today and catching it! I'm now convinced of something I've suspected for years ---- that our animals frequently have more caring and conscientious physicians than some humans. And one more thing -- that these ticks are serious business.
