Our sweet 3 1/2 year old lab has a terrible right back leg limp. It started Wed. morning. Bud and I are praying it's no worse than a strained muscle. I'm a wreck. I love my dog.

Harley is home. I picked him up late afternoon. He has Ehrilichis canis, a common tick borne disease. He was also tested for Limes disease. We get that report Monday. About a month ago, Harley got infested with ticks at the river. His Frontline was only 2 weeks old. Bud took care of the ticks. Several had imbedded. By the time I got him to the vet this morning, he was limping on both back legs. His "ankles" were swollen, he had a fever. He's feeling some what better. He's eating some again and has eaten lots of ice cubes. The vet did xray. He has no arthritis, his hips are great. I am somewhat relieved, pending the Limes report. Thanks for the vibes, they are working.

Harley is moving around a little more this morning. He is tolerating the antibiotics OK. He ate some this morning but still not drinking water but does eat plenty of ice cubes.

How terrific of Harley's humans to be so on the ball getting to the bottom of this. You guys rock! You know the Front Line only works once the tick has latched on. It doesn't repel them. So it's not 100% effective at all. So smart of you to be so tuned in that you got on it quickly.

Thanks for vibes everyone. They are working. Harley is improving. He's drinking water and is eating better. Harley is also walking much better. He tires easy. I'll be glad to get the Lyme disease report tomorrow.
