Thanks to "Netflix recommends for you," I have discovered the awesomeness that is Friday Night Lights. I don't understand how I didn't get into this show when it was actually on the air - I don't even know what network it used to be on!

We are building shelves this weekend and I'm barbecuing. The shelves are fun, but lots of work. We saw some shelving units that we liked but they cost literally up to and over $1k, so we bought our own wood and hardware. So far we've figured out that we'll be able to build all the ones we want for about $150, and they are looking awesome.
(The 'cue is looking awesome too.)

I saw The Hunger Games today. I thought it was pretty good. It was described to me as being Lord of the Flies for girls. I'm still debating that in my mind...

I saw on TV the last 15 laps of the Indy 500.
Dario holds on in the last lap as Sato spun out under him on the first turn.

I've heard the same comparison and my question is: When wasn't Lord of the Rings for girls?

Yes, you are correct, I should have said Lord of the Flies. But I don't really think Lord of the Rings was for girls either.

He can't talk about that.
Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.
