Duke vs Kentucky

Post by DukeForester » May 30th, 2012, 8:33 pm

I am new to the board and hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes, but when I searched for a 'cue thread, I did not find one. IMO, this is imperative for a board dedicated to all that is Duke. I mean where else is the best 'cue in the universe but in eastern NC. One of the founders of the board is a 'cue fanatic and a trophy winner, along with the rest of the Tru Blue 'Que Crew. If there is a reason that there is not a 'cue thread, please feel free to delete or combine with another thread I did not find. But IMHO, there is nothing better than a plate of smokey, vinegar-flavored chopped (or pulled) pork. Heaven on earth! And I can attest to the fact that CameronBornandBred cooks some bad ass 'cue!

DukeForester, I know that you are new here, but one thing that is severely frowned upon, especially by me, is requesting that a new thread be combined with an existing thread. That is something that is strictly the the province of the moderators of the OTHER FUCKING BOARD! Please don't do it again. Thank you sir. :D

Ozzie enjoys that we can say "fuck" here. =))
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the pork, and agreed....we do need a dedicated bbq thread! We might have had one, but if so I don't remember it. And yes..I am a charcoal purist, but I enjoyed reading about your smokers. Need to post a pic of that. Hell, that would be cool too, to see photos of what we all use on our decks.

Umm... I just resurrected that thread. :ymblushing:
Part of the difficulty is that we talk about barbecue in SO many different threads. I used SEARCH and found it on page 9. :-B

The only things I like with the connection to Kentucky are: The Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

I never posted much on the "other fucking board" so was unaware of the issues. I did get a demerit point once for writing a cuss word, but I can't remember which. It wasn't fuck. Maybe hell. Anyways this board seems much friendlier.

As far as Kentucky, bourbon and horses only.

Yeah, well I also had "hoses"..so either I can't type, my keyboard is busted, or I've had too much Horse Piss.

Hmm... how should I respond? :-? :-?

Here are FIVE things I like with a connection to Kentucky:
ILJ
Legacy Lady
Vince Taylor
Nolan Smith
Myself
;)

Of course, I'd wager that the Bluegrass Brewing Company and Woodford Select Chocolate Balls would rate highly as well.
