Very sad. Saw his poor mother speaking at the news conference...just heartbreaking.

Really sad. I wonder if he shot himself in the chest to maintain his brain for further study, a la Dave Duerson.
Vibes and prayers for his family and the many people who loved him.

As a person who had met him a few times, I can say how sorry I was to hear this. He really was a great guy. As a fellow player who's had a few concussions himself, I'm a little afraid of what the future has in store for me.

This is so incredibly sad. I didn't know about Dave Duersen. I went to Duersen's house to give him an insurance physical in the late 90s when he still lived in the Chicago burbs. His wife, kids and mother were at the house. He seemed like a great husband, father and son.
Bjornolf, you expressed concern for yourself given your history of sports-related concussions. My best advice to you is to seek help if you show any signs of depression, okay? Any questions, call me or send a PM. Stay safe, okay?

Vibes and Prayers for the family. The Mother was on the news, and it broke my heart. So sad and tragic. RIP Junior.

I have had a few bouts in the past, even thought about suicide a few times. If I didn't have a wife and kids... However, I can't imagine abandoning my family that way. Besides, I'm afraid of what my wife would do to me if I did that...DukePA wrote: Bjornolf, you expressed concern for yourself given your history of sports-related concussions.
