Actually the lane violation was a great call. Rule 9 - Violations and Penalties, Section 1. Free Throw, Art 2. Part G. states: Players not in a legal marked lane space shall remain behind the free- throw line extended and behind the three-point field-goal line until the ball strikes the ring, flange or backboard, or until the free throw ends.

The out of bounds call was horrible.
Don't go raining on my ref-hating parade with your rule book correctness!!!!

YES, worse than the regular season asshat one you are talking about. This was a tourney game that had a #1 seed losing late to a #16+ seed.

Has anybody bought the DBR tournament book? I really enjoyed it, but did anybody notice the photo error?

Andy Pettitte has unretired and signed a minor league contract with the Yankees, getting an invite to the major league camp. I didn't see this coming, but welcome him back if he can make the team. I guess Phil Hughes has more competition for the #5 starter's job. B-) :D

Am thinking of returning the lousy Comcast DVR (freezes constantly; remote doesn't work) and buying a new TiVo. Regardless of what I do, my current DVR goes back. A new colleague told me that she knows of multiple people who have had problems with Comcast DVRs and regular receivers - apparently they just throw faulty equipment back out into the field without making repairs. This is what makes me want to buy a TiVo. I know it will work, and I won't have to worry about playing Comcast equipment roulette.

I love the new Directv w/ TiVo. Works great.

Seeing as I have a lot more free time over the next few weeks than I expected, perhaps I will post more.

DBR had their forum shut down last night and this morning, per a text I received from a friend.

I love the new Directv w/ TiVo. Works great.
With BrightHouse here in FL I had to stomp my feet and demand a new, not refurb dvr after playing musical equipment. Three years later, that one is still working fine.

BTW, since you are now in the daily summer thunderstorm zone, DirecTv or any other satellite option is NOT a good plan unless you like losing your TV for daily all summer long.

TiVo will work for Comcast. However, you lose access to all their on demand programming. Therefore, I went to a Comcast store this morning and got another DVR. So far so good. The remote actually works, and the picture looks much sharper. I'm optimistic that the second time may have been the charm.

Yep, and almost baseball season. With Vandy out tonight, I have even more free time. I spend today putting up shelving in a new facility for the shop that restored my Firebird. Pretty soon I'll be going up to Canada to pick up the convertible I bought.
