Devil with a Blue Dress

Post by IowaDevil » February 20th, 2012, 8:25 pm

Someone mentioned in Section 21 that they had Devil with a Blue Dress ringtone! I don't remember who that was, so if it was you...can you post where you found it PLEASE! I made one and it's kind of scratchy! HOWEVER it is the official Duke Pep Band version :) Thanks much!

I confess to having the ring tone. My phone is also an MP3 player so I took the song off my Duke Pep Band cd and put it on the memory card in my phone. I have some version of the Samsung Galaxy.

That's what I did! It sure gets attention doesn't it? I guess I thought maybe there was a better rendition out there. But then how can you beat the Duke Pep Bank? Thanks. :D

Mine plays really well. In fact, it just rang. i do love hearing that song. I got a strange look from the endodontist when it rang while he was doing my root canal. He seemed fascinated by the fact my ring tone was a "marching" band. I wonder if there is a way for my to send you my version?

I did something similar, but my ring tone is the marching band version of the fight song. It's great.

Is this the recording from the Band's CD? If so, that's what I took mine from! I love it! I've never been successful trying to "share" ringtones but if you know a way, I'll be a happy recipient!

yes you can! I have an iPhone, and you can use iTunes to create ringtones. That's the way I made mine. There's a set length of time for the ring tone, so it might take a bit of experimentation to get the ring tone that you want.

My favoeite track on the Band's CD is #35, the bonus track. Double kudos to anyone who uses that as a ring tone! :D :D :D :9f: :9f: :9f:

I have an iPhone too and used a free app call RMaker. Had to finally watch the "help" video which hurts my ego but every once in a while I have to bend!

Yee haw! I found an app, for free, and added a couple of ringtones, including the Live Devil In The Blue Dress. All my Duke friends now have that ringtone.

OK, now that we have that figured out - can we attach them to an email and share with friends? Has anyone tried that? :-\

I don't use it as a ring tone, but it's one of my favorite tracks, too!

I would never be able to answer my phone if that was my ringtone. I would be too busy chanting along.

FWIW, I don't have any ringtones because I keep my phone on vibrate. My calendar is on it, and I carry it to court. If I forgot to turn the sound off and it rang in court, it could be problematic.

Yup! I'm the one lone voice starting the cheer - turn the volume up to hear me! You can hear me twice before the band picks it up! :9f:

OK #35, the mystery track, is now part of my ringtone choices! Once I find that elusive tix to the 3/3 game and land in NC, I'll turn it on with the volume full blast and you can all call me every couple of minutes! The State of NC will know I'm a Duke fan! :9f: :9f:

I wish I was coming there next week but so far Tix Exchange hasn't come thru with a tix! I will hold out hope until too late to drive or get a flight! If you know of anyone who can't use theirs, let me know please! :9f:

L-) My phone sounds like a phone, otherwise I'd never hear it ring above the sound of the stereo in the BUTT and the 'Oh so powerful' Cummins diesel engine that my right knee rests on.
