Never.

But since I'm posting this, I'll probably get arrested tonight on my way home from choir practice.

Does getting a call from someone in the Wyandotte County jail count? Of course, I have no idea who the person is that is trying to call me.

When I wrecked my car in Feb/March 1974, sophomore year, coming back from dinner at the Zoom Zoom Room in chapel hell. OK, we went there about 6 pm. How did we know the Michelob rep was there with dollar (?) pitchers of Mic? Or was it "all you could drink" night? Well, we did, whichever it was.          We left after midnight... Totaled my 1972 GTO on Cornwallis Road. They took me to the "hooscow", but I had the foresight to take the American Express travelers checks out of the glove compartment before they took me away. They were just enough for me to post my own bail; never got past the offices up front. I think I took a cab back to campus ~ 3 a.m.

You kept travelers checks in your glove box?

:9f:
Yes, in case I ever had an emergency in the car, like a breakdown while traveling. They were left over from the trip to Europe I didn't take the year before, but that's another story. Never imagined I'd use them for bail, but they sure came in handy! Remember this was the early 70's, and travelers checks were as good as cash and could be replaced if lost.

Wow! Did you keep that Glove Box locked? In those days back in the 1900's , no cell phones, no internet or laptops, no Debit/ATM cards.... either Cash, Check or Credit Card or Money Orders and Cashiers Checks.

How much was Bail money in those days?

I didnt mean to giggle at your story and misfortune Ozzie, back in the day, but you having Travelers Checks.... was amazing! Only OZZIE!!!

It was the 1970's, not 1900's ;)

And no, the glove box was unlocked. If the checks ever got stolen or lost, they were easily replaced as long as I had the serial numbers, which I did. :D :9f:

Off Topic.....

What is the issue with the Durham DA, Tracy Cline being on administrative leave with pay for saying negative things about Judge Orlando Hudson?

Was Cline throwing Judge Hudson under the bus with statements?
