RIP Robert Hegyes (Juan Epstein)
Robert Hegyes, one of the Sweathogs from "Welcome Back Kotter," has died. He played Juan Epstein, a Puerto Rican Jewish Sweathog. You might recall that John Travolta played the lead Sweathog, Vinnie Barbarino. Arnold Horshack (Ron Palilo) is still alive, as is Freddie "Boom Boom" Washington (Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs).

I loved that show too....the show won an award at the TV Land awards last year....most of them look pretty good.

Oooooooooooooh! Oooooooooooooh! Ooooooooooooooooooooh! I adored that show! I was in the 8th-11th grades when it aired, and I don't think I missed an episode, although the show jumped the shark in its last season. John Travolta had starred in Saturday Night Fever and Grease, so he left the show. It wasn't the same without him.
So sorry to hear about Robert Hegyes. May he rest in peace.

I really enjoyed that program. I used my own version of Epstein's Mothers note - I would write the notes and have my Mom sign and kept one so I could trace her signature. That way I didn't have to sign it "Barbara's Mother".
Life is good!
