Great American Teach In

Post by windsor » November 17th, 2011, 7:49 am

I am off to spend the day in my husbands midle school math class (worse: drop out prevention middle school....eeeek) for the Great American Teach In. I have my propeller hat ready (seriously) and will be doing my best to convince his snowflakes (snowflakes becasue each one is unique, special and fragile...barf) that math does NOT suck and that the Geek shall inherit the earth.

Time to go mess with some young minds.

I assume he's the teacher and not a student...? :D

I have a 57 year old fraternity brother who gave up his engineering career two years ago and became a certified high school math teacher. He's teaching in the Virginia Beach public schools. When he's not going crazy (and broke), he loves it.

I promise that I'm not trying to call forth the wrath o'Windsor upon myself, (Yes, I've seen the WWWD thread, so I know better) but even if only for me, math do suck. I'm just glad to have recieved passing grades in classes with titles like 'Fun with Numbers' and '+ Means Add/ - Means Take away'. :D
