Giants - Pats

Post by OZZIE4DUKE » November 6th, 2011, 7:33 pm

Wow! What a 4th quarter! A scoreless 0-0 first half and then 4 lead changes in the 4th quarter! Oh, the Giants won 24-20. Eli Manning went from goat to hero!

I totally enjoyed that game...given that Brady is No. 3 on my 'quarterbacks I would most like to see throw more interceptions than completions' list...I particularly liked watching Eli knock that smug smirk off his face in the closing seconds. :D

Dang. Missed watching Eli. We were otherwise occupied with Lucky's misfortune yesterday and finally crashed at the first opportunity. If Eli WAS a goat, he was surely a cute one!

I hate Eli Manning. I'd hate him even if I didn't have Super Bowl XXII to remember.

I like Peyton Manning. I don't root for the Colts but I don't dislike Peyton Manning. Maybe I should say I didn't root for the Colts. Doesn't matter much this year.

I hate Eli Manning.

In fact (don't tell Sue) but I hate Eli Manning so much that I actively root for the Giants to lose, every game. That will change when he's no longer the quarterback cause I don't really hate the Giants.

I feel the same way about Brady. I stop just short of wanting to see him injured. (Michael Vick I want to see injured, permanetly and career ending) Brady I just despise..and root for a Pats loss every game. The bigger, the better.

If New England plays Philly I root for a meteor.

:D

I don't hate the Giants, but I do dislike them very much. I grew up a Washington fan, and I only hate Dallas. Philly and the Giants just get on my nerves.
I do hate Eli Manning. His prima donna attitude and allowing his father to manipulate his draft prospect is disgusting. What a great way to enter the world as a college graduate.

It was a great fourth quarter though.

OK. I suspect we hate them for different reasons though.

I hate (Eli) Manning because he gets way more attention than his play deserves. If it weren't for Trent Dilfer, he'd be the worst quartback in the last 25 years to win a Super Bowl. He's mediocre on his best days and the only reason he managed to pull out a win on Sunday is because the Patriots' defense sucks.

Is that why you hate Brady? I'll accept you hating him but I won't concede on the smugness aspect. Smug = E. Manning in my book going all the way back to his draft day nonsense.

I'll assume you hate Michael Vick for usual reasons. Me? I think Ben Rothliesberger holds the 'Most Despicable QB' title.

I won't get into a who is the smuggest Quarterback debate with you (brady, in a run away)

The QB who gets the most attention for doing nothing is not Manning..it is Tebow....I said Brady was #3 on my list, Tebow is #2 both miles behind Vick.

We hate him for similar reasons Bd. For me, the draft crap was unreasonable and idiotic. I wish the commish had said "ok, you're hearby removed from the draft. Have fun in free agency." So for me, he got way more attention than deserved right out of college.

I think the super bowl helped to calm a lot of the critics, but I think the magnitude of the loss, and the sensational (fluke) plays helped drive up the hype.

I think you're spot-on with Dilfer comparison. We can only pray that Eli will never take a job as an analyst.
