That's a good idea, Bjornolf. Isn't that quote from Forrest Gump?

Be NICE! Take the high road. Be a kind and loving friend.

I don't know if I'm ready for snow, but I do think 80 dgr is outrageous. The rain forecast for today is, however, extremely welcome.IowaDevil wrote:Snow in Iowa today. Winter has arrived
I'm so glad you had rain!!! When I was in Texas, I saw what some of the fire damage plus, so many dead trees and dry grass. Very sad. The next time I go to Texas, I'll let you know when I'm going to be in Austin. Maybe you can have lunch or dinner with me.bluebutton wrote:I don't know if I'm ready for snow, but I do think 80 dgr is outrageous. Apparently, some trees are blooming b/c the drought induced dormancy over the summer was treated as "winter" and the milder dampness (it's not really wet here in central tx) is being treated as "spring". Sad really. The trees have taken a real beating this year and it seems like they just can't win.
Neither have I. Ima is more technologically advanced than I am.YmoBeThere wrote:I haven't tried Spotify.
NPR did a piece about Spotify yesterday.DukeUsul wrote:Spotify rocks. You can stream music from a huge library to your PC (free) or phone (not free). It's like Pandora, but you get to explicitly make your own playlists by picking the exact songs and also share those playlists and even collaborate on them with friends.
For example, I've started creating a jazz playlist for a friend of mine.

Just so you know - some of the stuff I play off of spotify is for little Katie. I'm not that big of a Taylor Swift fan, myself!Ima Facultiwyfe wrote:Yep, and on facebook you can see what your friends are playing (if they let you). Usul plays some stuff that betrays our generation gap! I check him out once in a while. I don't even go where Native goes. Except the other night I noticed he was playing "classical music to study by".
I have yet to search something Spotify couldn't come up with and then some.
