Official Thank You Thread for the TBCC

Post by devildeac » October 30th, 2011, 2:33 pm

Yea, I know the season's not over yet but I am compelled after yesterday's Doublegate to make this public proclamation and recognize our fearless chefs and organizers for the 2011 FB season. So, a hearty (but not necessarily healthy :)) ) thank you to the 3 Amigos and their faithful companions for another set of culinary masterpieces. It takes many hours of off-season planning, organization and beer consumption to have this ready for our 1st home game, so a tip(sy) of the pint glass to Ozzie. Thank you. Our grill masters are next. It also takes many hours of in-week planning, purchasing and gossiping about others in the wee hours of the night in Section 21 to accomplish the minor (major?) miracles that happen with each home game, in addition to the hours spent before, during and after the games setting up and preparing the food and then loading all their stuff up again to get home after a 16 hour day like yesterday. Well done, guys.

This is not to omit other team members either who shop, bake/prepare delicacies, contribute $$ and provide a very, very welcoming atmosphere for the CTN members, family and friends who attend. Y'all are a great bunch to hang with for hours on end during a Saturday morning, afternoon and/or evening.

With warm, personal :-BD  ^:)^ and :ymhug: ,

I second that DD. I don't just think, I know, our tailgate is the best on Blue Devil Alley. So much is put into each tailgate. We also have such a great, easy to get along with, group. That is also a big deal (imo). Hugs to you all. :ymhug: :ymhug:

I also put our next door neighbors as a bonus. They are wonderful. We've got it made. :happy-bouncyblue:

You're welcome, but I feel that the part I play in the actual execution of our 7 extravaganzas is so minor I feel guilty in being mentioned first by you. My unending gratitude go to TNT and CB&B, and when he can Cowboy, for all their efforts to set up the magnificent facilities and food we have each game, and to each of you who have contributed your time, money, effort and friendships to make TB'CC, fka Brunchgate, what it is and hopefully what it will continue to be in future seasons.

One last home game, one last feast this season. And a special feast it will be! I hope ALL our members can make it, except Bud and Nancy, who will be AWOL in Hawaii with the BBall team. OK, perhaps THAT is an excused absence. B-) As outrageous as this may sound, I wouldn't be entirely shocked if we are playing for bowl eligibility against GT in 3 weeks.

I couldn't agree more with what DD said. We love the group and are so appreciative of our organizers' hard work and the camaraderie and goodies everyone brings.

What we do would not be nearly as fulfilling if we didn't have the great crowd of family and friends that we do. All of us make our tailgates the best on Devil's Alley! :happy-bouncyblue: :duke:

I'm not ready to say thank you yet because we have one more tailgate to go. I always miss tailgate season when it's over. I don't want to think about that yet.

But thank you, anyway, TBCC. You guys are the best! See you all soon!

We're planning on it. She will also be staying for a fifth year to finish her masters in engineering and is hoping to help with the cheer coaching duties. :-BD
