I think Windsor was one of the "new" dorms down in Edens Quad when I was at Duke, back in the early/mid 70's. Windsor, Lancaster, York and ... ? I was in Lancaster my freshman year, before moving up to House O - Phi Kappa Psi for the next 3 years.
Nope...Windsor isn't in Eden...it is on West..the 'double quad'...Cleland was on the front facing the main quad...SAS, BOG, Canterbury, Buchanan ...FUBAR...Windsor and damnit I'm missing one...but most defnitiely NOT in Eden

Hey Windsor? Were we at Duke at the same time? I lived in Cleland as a senior.

Mirecourt, Burton and Taylor were the other "new" dorms when I was at Duke. Don't think Windsor was down on Edens either. I lived in Burton for 2 years which was on top of Taylor. Think about it...

Yup, Mirecort was the one I couldn't remember, and Richard Burton on top of Liz Taylor, how could I forget? ;) I knew there was a "double" dorm.

New Dorms (Edens Quad) from 1980-82 included Mirecourt, Taylor, Burton, Lancaster, Tabard and York. After 1982, there was some movement around campus to even out the male/female ratio on East and West, and the Delts moved down to the New Dorms, and York moved up to Main West (House J).

Long time ago, a guy tried to pronounce my last name and mangled it badly. Everyone laughed, and the first syllable was "Turk" and it stuck.

Mine is pretty easy - I went to Duke and live in Kansas. My license plate, back on a suitable blue car, is BLUDEVL.
Life is good!

Mine was actually my nickname at Duke lacrosse camp. We'd nickname guys on our camp team based on where they were from - there was "Florida," "Tex", "Jersey", etc. Being the only one on the team from North Carolina, I was dubbed the "Native." I kept the name handy for message board handles and the like.

Another name I wondered about. Thanks for the info.
BTW, I think I saw you on the football broadcast yesterday. (Can you kick field goals?)
