She can go away. But please let Nate make it to Texas - as a tropical storm only as long as we are asking.

Our neighbor's parents lost their house to the fires in Bastrop, TX this week. Dear Jesus, please send reasonable rain.

I'm sorry for your neighbor's parents' loss - I can't even imagine losing everything in a fire.

One of the fires was about a mile from my brother's neighborhood. He was without power a couple of times and some on the other side of Fair Oaks from him were evacuated. The fire had the added fun of involving unexploded ordinance from a firing range on the nearby base. That must have made firefighting fun. (Insert sarcasm smilie here)
