Given the discussion leading up to TMI, "leave it all on the floor" takes on a whole new meaning. :ymdevil:

Successful surgery vibes for Ozziedaughter!

YAY! I'm so glad to hear this. As soon as she goes potty (#1), she can go home.

Thanks for the clarification, Cathy (no matter the TMI). Can you do salads at home?

Salads at home are fine. I think it has something to do with the preservatives that are in commercially prepared food.

My surgeon does a lot of bariatric and gastric bypass surgery. He even has a commercial on TV about his practice. I wonder why he just doesn't do the laparoscopic cholecystectomy on all of his patients and then let nature take over. :D

They had been talking about keeping her 23 hours (sending her home early tomorrow morning). Don't know if that's still the plan or not. She's resting in her room, somewhat groggy, but not to uncomfortable considering the circumstances. Only one chair for visitors, so I've gone back to the waiting room to use the wifi until the chair situation improves. Her hubby has asked for a "more comfortable chair" for him so another one will be brought in soon. I guess Mrs. Ozzie will get the original chair and I'll go try to busy myself elsewhere (maybe try to do some business in Boone while I'm here) and stay out of the way...

23 hours? Holy cow! That bites. I left my house to go to the surgicenter at 6:00 a.m. and was back home and sitting on my couch post-surgery at 11:00 a.m. When my mom left to go get my prescription filled at 11:30 a.m., I called my office and gave Holly some work.

I'm wondering when I made my first post-surgical CTN post. Gonna go check. . .

One of my CTN LTE2.0 posts was time stamped 2:55 p.m. on the day that I had my surgery.

That's still the plan. Good thing - her BP has been low most of the day but is better now. We're at her place with Ruthie, Patrick is spending the night in a recliner with her in the hospital, I'm leaving at 8 to be at Duke for STB and OzzieDaughter and I should be passing each other in opposite directions on Hwy 105 just after I leave here.

Glad the surgery is over. And Ozziedaughter has a good night's rest. And will be home soon, and on the mend!!

So happy to hear the surgery was routine. By all means let her hang out in the hospital over night. It's the closest thing moms of toddlers get to a vacation! I'm surprised, though. The OP was home the same day. Prolly 'cause he's so ornery they wanted to get rid of him.

Hugs to everybody. You did good!!!

Time to check back in on our little patient. How's she doing two days post op?

Better, but not great. Thanks for asking. I'm heading back up tomorrow for a couple or three days to be with her during the day while her husband is busy with band camp duties. Good thing is - more Ruthie time!

Mederma Scar Gel. Get Jennifer a tube of that for her little scars. Once the glue washes away, she'll want to put the Mederma on her scars to minimize them forever.

How many of you have seen my gallbladder scars? See? It works!
