Vibes for Ozziedaughter

Post by OZZIE4DUKE » June 9th, 2011, 9:18 am

Ozziedaughter is having her gall bladder removed Friday morning, so some CTN healing and recovery vibes will be muchly appreciated. I know how powerful they are and how much they help! Thanks in advance.

}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I'm heading up there today and will be back on Saturday in time for STB at Duke.

Yes, Cathy and I have discussed it. Also, Mrs. Ozzie had her's out in 1978 when it was MAJOR abdominal surgery - 4"+ incision, cutting a major muscle group, a week in the hospital, another week at home convalescing, etc. With today's laproscopic procedure, it's almost a piece of cake in comparison. Just don't eat any cake afterwords... ;)

Vibes for Ozziedaughter. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I had the bikini-ending-scar gall bladder surgery 20+ years ago. The laparoscopy is no fun, but it is, as you said, a piece of cake by comparison.

Grateful that it's a "fixable" problem and we're saying prayers that it goes off without a hitch. Afterwards, everybody spoil her for a while, okay? This busy mom can use a few days of R&R!!!!!!

Ditto to all the above for an uneventful lap/chole as it is called in the bizness. Giver her a hug for me, please.

Ozziedaugher is going to do great! In fact, I'll bet she's feeling better already.

Scar? What scar? I can only see 4 of my 5 scars from my March surgery, and I'm pretty certain that most of you would only recognize 1 of them as a scar. . . if I ever showed it to you! :D

This surgery is one heck of a way to lose weight. It's expensive, but the weight loss is a nice side effect.

Is the weight loss a result of change of diet afterwards?

Hope surgery was uneventful, and that her recovery is speedy, painless, and with lots of TLC from those around her! :wizard: :wizard:

Thanks DA. Surgery is tomorrow (Friday) morning at 7:45 a.m. edt. I'll let you know how it turns out, but probably not till later in the day as I doubt I'll have my computer at the hospital. Maybe I'll put up a quick A-OK from my phone after the surgery. B-)

Sort of. At first, it's not good to eat a diet rich in fats, so a slow return to a regular diet causes some weight loss. Then some foods (for me it's salads from restaurants) go through the system very quickly. :text-tmi:

This was a question that first came to my sick, steaming brain.

Does your response to said inquiry, reflect anything about the possible ability to 'Go #2" through a screen window? :))

I said my brain was sick..didn't I?

It's not as much about the ability to go, as it is about the sudden onset and the ensuing race to the bathroom. :-s
