Rutgers Lax Coach opening
I was told that the Rutgers Lacrosse mens Coaching position is Open. Our mens Coach, John Danowski graduated from Rutgers and holds several records in lacrosse. Son, Matt has already graduated from Duke. Coaches wife, has never moved to Durham (as I was told). Well, that would make sense, as to why I would always see him (alone) in Cameron for Basketball games, or at the Wash Duke inn, without wifey in tow.
Coach Danowski has done a fabulous job with the Mens Lacrosse team, and taking them numerous times to the Final 4. Just glad I was there for the 2010 National Championship in Baltimore. (minus the 100 degree heat wave).
And hope that Rutgers will not come a calling for their Alum. If so, Dr White, needs to throw a couple of bucks Dano's way!!!
Coach Danowski spoke to our Blue Devil Club! He is awesome! Had the opportunity to talk with him several times. Hope that Coach Danowski will continue to be the Duke mens Lacrosse coach for many years to come!!!

Yes, there's always been this elephant in the room since he has never seemed to really unpack his bags. I've been wondering how long he'd be with us. I was surprised he even stayed after getting his son and his team mates through the mess. I'm glad we have Dr. White in charge of everything. I trust him. I know he'll do everything he can, should worse come to worse.
I can't think of a coach I admire more than Danowski.

I thought, originally, Mrs. Danowski stayed behind for a daughter to finish the school year. I think she was starting in high school so perhaps she is staying so the daughter can finish high school.
Life is good!

Coach Danowski has done a wonderful job at Duke. And I hope he will continue to stay at Duke until his retirement. How he lifted the team out of the ashes, and breathed Life into those boys that remained on the Lacrosse team, meant as much to me, as winning the National Championship 2010.
He was brave, bold and showed more Leadership, just to accept the Duke lacrosse coaching position in 2006.
Joe Alleva did make some good hires, before he left Duke for LSU. Coach John Danowski was a great decision.
Hopefully, the Scarlet Knights, will go away. And seek their coach, someplace else.

Re: Rutgers Lax Coach opening
I havent seen any updates yet for the Rutgers Lax coach. So, I guess they are entertaining/interviewing (Coach Dano, and whoever else) for the Coaching position.
And Rutgers is putting alot of money on the table.
Coach Danowski has done a wonderful job for the last 5 seasons at Duke. (doesnt seem, like that long).
If, he takes the job, we will miss him. Since wifey, and daughter live close by, and son Matt, plays for the prof NY lax team, I could understand in someone moving to be with their family.
I don't think it will be about the money; I think it will be about Family.
