Osama bin Laden is dead.

Post by wilson » May 1st, 2011, 11:01 pm

I honestly never thought we'd ever get direct confirmation of this happening; I figured he'd eventually die in hiding and the numbers game would be such that we could just assume he was dead.
Quite the interesting moment.

I'm feeling guilty = I've actually thought about opening the bottle of champagne in my refrigerator.

In almost every case, that would be a terribly unbecoming thing to do.This is not one of them.
Joyful good riddance to a disgusting excuse for humanity. I surprised myself by getting chills upon first hearing the news.

Interesting...some sources say a missile got him. Perhaps President Obama's impending address will shed some more light on it. At any rate, this is a good day for our nation.

Interesting, the news pre-empted Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice show. Coincidence?

And he wasn't in a cave. He was in a mansion near Islamabad. Do we now rethink Pakistan?

From Twittersphere: FOX NEWS: Obama Denies Osama Fair Trial

;)

If we've got the body, our military (or sekrit spookies) were there to make it happen. :happy-bouncyblue:

If it is true that ground forces were involved, I so hope that some of our female military were involved. I really like the thought of a woman taking him out. That would really torque him, wouldn't it?

Of course, I hope we never know who was involved - I fear for their safety if the identity of those involved is released.

Serious question: We have Osama's body. What are we gonna do with it?
Charge five bucks to piss on it and we could knock the national debt right out.

OK - I don't feel so bad about the desire to drink champagne. And you are correct.

Post his head on a pike along Memorial Bridge, from Arlington National Cemetery towards the Lincoln Memorial?

My dad is here with me in Seattle tonight. He was in the Pentagon on 9/11 (his office was on the E ring, on the same side the plane crashed.) To quote my dad -- "that bastard tried to have me killed. Glad he's gone."

Yeah, the first thing I thought of when I heard the news was Pete Ortale. I'm glad we got him but it won't bring Pete back.

I'm glad Osama was unsuccessful in his attempt. I agree with your father - Osama was a bastard and the world is better off without his influence. Please thank your father for his service.

The only sad part of all this is that, for their own sakes, we will never be told the names of the brave guys who went in and took him out! I hope they saw each other eye to eye before the shot to the head!

Bless the hearts of all so very brave. And thanks to their families for lending them to us.
Love, Ima
