Newest Cro-Magnon Man (aka Lavabe turns 50)
Please welcome our most recent addition to AARP membership on CTN and congratulate him on his milestone. (Yea, I know it's not until tomorrow but this gives all of us another day to celebrate.)

Such an august celebration deserves an entire weekend! Happy birthday Lavabe! May you have days free of both toothless and toothed wildcat fans. May Georgia the Wonder Dog leave your pizza alone. May the lemurs of Madagascar rise up and call you blessed.
And from all of us, have the happiest of birthdays.

Welcome, Lavabe! But I don't think you get AARP status for another 5 years.
Have a marvelous birthday. Let it last all year.

Sadly, 50 is the magic AARP number. Trust me on this.
Happy Birthday Lavabe!! Eat lots of CAKE. Give Georgia some. ENJOY!

I got invites from AARP for a short time before turning 50. They were getting a little head start.

Re: Newest Cro-Magnon Man (aka Lavabe turns 50)
Thanks for all the Birthday wishes. One of my former high school classmates referred to it as 5.0 instead of 50. I agree with him. I know a good line when I steal it. ;)
I'm keeping it simple today, not doing anything special (weather is cruddy, and end of the semester crunch period sort of ruins things for me every year). Maybe I'll plot out my next 16 weeks of fantasy NASCAR picks. I'll need that long to catch up to Marvin and Ymo! ;)
Cheers,
Lavabe

A finely attired gentleman (cough, cough) and his bride of about 5 years. That shirt looks vaguely familiar .

OMG! I love that t-shirt! I had forgotten about it! Another classic t-shirt I wish I had purchased.

Purchased at the Duck Shop in Durham. I have one just like it . It's pretty frayed now but still available for special wearings/occasions.ArkieDukie wrote:OMG! I love that t-shirt! I had forgotten about it! Another classic t-shirt I wish I had purchased.
