Vibes comin' from Clearwater - the Tornado capital of the US (luckily 99% of waterspouts over the Gulf, and they rarely get very large)

Hiss said the hardest hit areas range from Draper, to the southwestern part of the Town of Pulaski. Hiss says there is severe damage to homes and other structures west of Washington Avenue in the town, and south of the railroad tracks in the town. Also, other significant damage has been seen in the Draper area.

My mom lives in Draper.

The weather check thread reminded me of this. Um...WOW!!! It was amazing how close one of the two came to my mom's house. Their house is at least 2 miles away from the tornado's path, but the exit I take to get to her was right where the twister crossed. You could see the bee-line from across interstate 81 that it made from one side to the other, then it went to work on homes and businesses. Mom drove Shelly and I around, it was pretty impressive how even the difference of a few feet made in what was left standing and what was turned into rubble. We went into town to see where the other torndado hit, but couldn't see a defined path. Obviously lots of destruction there, too, though. Supposedly 400 families were displaced. I'm not sure I believed that, but I could see 400 people. Some homes were leveled, others were standing without a roof. And some places that looked like a tornado hit them before, they look the exact same now.

I hate tornadoes. I'm glad your mom's house didn't get hit. I hate anyone got hit.
