Brian Gregory from Dayton is going to GT.

I forgot until I read this article that Dayton won the NIT in 2010, beating the tarholes. :9f:

Thanks for sharing this, LG91. I'm passing it along to my favorite Yellow Jacket.

I don't know much about him, but he's got a winning record, and he is young at 44. Good luck GT.

I understand that he's part of the Izzo coaching tree and comes highly recommended by Coach Izzo.

Chris Collins being mentioned as a possible candidate for the Dayton job:

I realize I'm being selfish, but I hope Collins stays at Duke.

Wojo is on that list too. I hope one of them gets a HC job soon. I don't want to see both go in the same year though.

Duke could certainly use a REAL BIG MAN COACH. And Christian is literally, someone the BIGS could look up to. Christian knows how to win! And is the one of the best basketball college players, ever.

The Best CL! Hope everything works out!

I would never, ever, under any circumstances, snark about the man for whom my child is named. He is, quite simply, the best!

Sure would be fun to have him onboard while we have all these Plumlees. Maybe he could put some meanness into 'em. You know he loves Durham. Bet he'd come in a heartbeat....if only for a stopover to his own gig..

For those of you too lazy to read this article, it says Shaka Smart has a new contract at VCU.

:9f:
It's gonna be same shit, different year for NC State. They will not score a major name for their coaching vacancy. They may still catch lightning in a bottle with an underappreciated new coach, but it won't be a big splash. They're mostly kidding themselves with regard to their assessment of their program's stature.
