I thought their fight song was "Ramblin' Wreck. I looked it up to be sure and that's what it said. They have 3 references to drinking in the song. 1) Like all the jolly fellows I drink my whiskey clear. 2) I wish I had a barrel of run. 3) I'll drink to all the fellows who come from far and near.lawgrad91 wrote:How can Georgia have a fight song that neither has a curse word nor references drinking?
I only remembered the first one. We use to sing it on my high school band trips. We also sang "100 bottles of beer on the wall".

Way to go Andrew.Bostondevil wrote:My oldest son is on two teams at his high school, the science team and the ultimate frisbee team. We have an ongoing argument as to which is geekier. Then there is always the cross country team to consider. Andrew maintains that ultimate frisbee is the geekiest of the three. They have an A team and a B team. Andrew is on the B team, or, as all the geeks in my house refer to it, the penultimate frisbee team.
The Science Team's big event, the Science Olympiad, is today.

That is the Georgia Tech fight song, with whiskey and hell etc.Very Duke Blue wrote:I thought their fight song was "Ramblin' Wreck. I looked it up to be sure and that's what it said. Oddly enough, Manchester United English Premier League football team has this as their fight song... obviously with different lyrics.wilson wrote:They have their own lyrics:lawgrad91 wrote:Why does the University of Georgia play "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" as a fight song?
"Glory, glory to old Georgia!

Basketball is what I'm doing today. I'm making a pot of chili. I think chili goes well with basketball.

Whew. Standing in line for my hotel room in Williamsburg. The whole bar was either Duke fans, had Duke in their bracket, or (the bartender) had a tip riding on the outcome. Poor guy is a uVA fan.

Re: LTE 2.0
Two people ahead of me in line turned me down on job interviews.
But if either had hired me I wouldn't be close enough to Durham to Brunchgate.
Hey! My itouch recognizes the word "Brunchgate"!
