Which RC did you guys go to? There are several in the area. My favorite is the Arlington one, cause you have great views of the airport, the river, and some of the monuments across the river.CathyCA wrote:Thank you all for the birthday wishes. This was the best birthday celebration I've ever had.
Chris surprised me all day long. We went to the matinee performance of Jersey Boys at the National Theater in Washington, D.C. What a fun show that was! I'm still singing along to all of the songs. After the show we went to dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. We had surf-n-turf, along with a bottle of Argentinian Malbec. For dessert, we shared a slice of Chocolate Sin cake. YUM!
And then, Duke gave us yet another football win! Does it get any better than this? (Well, I suppose if my birthday were in April and Duke won a National Championship on my birthday after I'd seen a musical and had eaten steak and seafood with Chris, that might be a tad bit better, but only a tad bit better than this day.)
If you ever need for someone to plan a perfect birthday celebration, look no further than . I him.

We went to the one in Fairfax. It's close to Chris's sister's home.bjornolf wrote:Which RC did you guys go to? There are several in the area. With four little guys in your home, I imagine you were quite busy yesterday, BD. This is the first Halloween in 18 years that I haven't had to get a kid ready to go Trick-or-Treating, and I thoroughly enjoyed putting that experience in my past! I still had to prepare a costume for Junior Cotillion earlier in the week, but I was so thankful that I didn't need to chaperone a Trick-or-Treater or answer the door a brazillion times last night. You were thought of yesterday, Cathy, and sent mental birthday wishes, but alas the post didn't come until today. Sounds like it was an excellent birthday! I'm glad. (Way to go !)
