Great stuff. Jasper Howard was apparently a good friend of Thad Lewis' from Florida in middle school and high school. Thad apparently had a very difficult week preparing for the game with the terps yesterday due to his tragic death.

I was hoping UConn would win yesterday, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. My heart goes out to the whole team and Jasper's family. I just can't imagine what his mother is going through.

Also did not realize Thad was friends with him. What incredible strength Thad showed putting his hurt aside to lead the Blue Devils to victory.

I still hate West Virginia, but what they did yesterday was classy.

It is also worth pointing out that there was a moment of silence at the USF@Pitt game and the teams did a pre-game handshake. The PA announcer said this was done because the teams were in the Big East, so I'm sure this was done at the other Big East games, but I do not know.
