The McApple Pie

Man, do ya'll remember that pie McDonalds used to serve that was all hot and shit but was good as hell? Maybe they still make it. I don't know. But it had a crusty, medium-warm outside pie shell with an inside filled with flavorful apple chunks and a gooey napalm-like mixtue that would burn the absolute f*cking sh*t out of all parts of your mouth.
Nonetheless, it was delicious. Do they still make it or a variation of it?

Yes and no. They changed the crust. The filling is as good but I liked the old crust better. I think they used to fry the original and now they bake it, trying to take some of the grease out. At most McD's it is on the dollar menu - 1 for 99 cents and 2 for $1. I always wonder if I could just buy the second one...

Yes, they still make a variation of it but, as usual, the new version is nowhere near as good as the original. Also, I think the new one is baked while the old one was fried.

Oh yes in deed I remember, I loved those old apple pies! The ones today aren't quite the same as the old one, guess it was the frying aspect, I wish they'd bring it back for those folks who just love a good old fried apple pie! Along with the their old recipe for Fries. Once they got healthy with their grease, their Fries just aren't the same to me (not that I go there very often)!!

I kinda like these, too, but have not had one in years. I actually like them better than most of the Tastykake pies. :oops:

I might be able to make it to the Wake Forest game. I'm pretty sure I'm busy basically all of my weekend w/ home games.
