For those of yins who can't decide where to put your posts about the 10/3 event, how 'bout we try limiting our posts on the "sticky" thread to who will attend and bring what, like CB&B suggested, and leave this thread for "other" comments and hijacks? Hopefully, our planning and reading will be easier.

I agree, in fact it should still be warm. I'll probably come out at half time for a beer and munchies as well.

Great idea DD. I'm glad you suggested a sand box for us non-attendees to play in so we can pad our post counts.

DD got sent home with 2 scotch ales this past weekend, he can give a preview review Thursday or Friday nights, they'll be ready for drinking by then.

I think DukePA and I are heading up Friday night this time, which means I'll get to visit the homebrew supplier on the way. I'll take requests, this batch would be for the Maryland game on the 24th. I will also have the wheat beer bottled and ready for that game.

You are still welcome to attend. ;) The trader brews are "in storage."

For my favorite Lemur Lover here's my "recipe". (I put it in quotes because it's really more of a "feel" than a formula.)
Bruschetta
3 Large ripe tomatoes, or 12 plum tomatoes, seeded and diced
4 Scallions, thinly sliced.
10-12 basil leaves, finely chopped
6 tblsp extra-virgin olive oil
2 tblsp distilled white vinegar
Garlic (to taste, I use lot!) Finely minced. (More garlic="spicier")
Salt (to taste) and freshly ground pepper (Lots)
1 baguette thinly sliced and toasted.
Combine all ingredients in non-reactive bowl and let it sit for as least 1 hour to let flavors blend.
Whichever game you decide to attend, let me know and I'll bring you a heapin' helpin' o' Brushetta.

My son visited the area for the weekend, stayed with friends in Derm and didn't bother to come by the house to pick up his traders. Now I have more for you, Miles and CB&B. ;)

So it is written, so it shall be. A CB&B Scotch Ale 10/1 or 10/2 and a review that night. Of course, I'll save one for 30-60 days to check on the "aging," and to pad the post counts.

I will be unable to attend the 10/3 edition of Brunchgate, however if anyone needs a ticket (1) to the game, let me know. I hate to see it go to waste. Later, AW.
