If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can'the fix a hole in a boat? Anyone else ever wonder that?

The hole was bigger than the radio. Also, if I was stuck on an island with Mary Anne, I don't want to be rescued.cl15876 wrote:If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can'the fix a hole in a boat? Anyone else ever wonder that?

Besides, Wouldn't the skipper be a better judge of how to repair a boat? Ya would think, wouldn't ya?
If you remember the story of the pirogue trip in my Madagascar thread, you'll know that there's no need to patch up the boat if you can scoop out the water.knights68 wrote:'Cuz like more booksmart folk, they may not have the street smarts to peel a banana much less patch up a boat/

I never saw him go after either of them...maybe he was more into Gilligan or the skipper.Lavabe wrote:Didn't the professor prefer Ginger?CameronBornAndBred wrote:The hole was bigger than the radio. I always figured he was into the skipper as he always was looking for the Skipper. Or maybe he was more into Mrs Howell.... betcha he thought she could fund his experiments any day, I always suspected!CameronBornAndBred wrote: I never saw him go after either of them...maybe he was more into Gilligan or the skipper.
Ya gotta remember, it was back in the 60's. Being a gay old bachelor didn't mean the same thing then as it does now...windsor wrote:I assumed it was Gilligan and the Skipper - I mean come on, what guy refers to another guy as 'little buddy' ?

You would have to be suicidal to sleep in the bottom hammock.knights68 wrote:Well duh, Gillian was always on top when they went to sleep at night.windsor wrote:I assumed it was Gilligan and the Skipper - I mean come on, what guy refers to another guy as 'little buddy' ?

It's the ship's fault. It simply refused to let anyone, much less several people, touch its "boathole." ;)cl15876 wrote:If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can'the fix a hole in a boat? Anyone else ever wonder that?
Do you blame it? How would you feel if someone said they could fix your boathole with a couple of coconuts?EarlJam wrote:It's the ship's fault.
