Umm, the Blue Devil's Den sounds too much like another board. And you know what they say about imitation. ;) Could we replace it with "The Pits?"

Thank God we don't have options like the "Tar Pit", or Granville... Ugh, what absolutely boring names.

I agree with the Devil's Den being imitative, even if unintentionally. One of the things I like about it, and some of the other names is that they are not college Duke specific. Meaning that many fans that didn't go to Duke won't appreciate "The Dope Shop" or "The Pits" because they never had that experience. The outside fan's scope will mostly be related to what they are familiar with from TV, and maybe a couple visits.
I can see section 17 making sense, it makes sense to anyone who has looked up tickets.

I also like Section 17 the best - but I had to cast one of my votes for Windsorlson - I see that option has two votes...wonder who the other one could be...

I agree with CellR on one point. I didn't know what Section 17 meant... well, save for DukePA's parenthetical definition.

I don't recall it being a part of the common language back when I attended (you know, back in the days of Emma and Tissaw). And frankly, back then, what undergrads had tickets?

I finally found the needle in the haystack that was the title of the page...if you look, you will see I have changed it. Once the voting is over, I'll spend another hour trying to remember in which config script I found it the first time and give it the new name.

Hmmmm. I don't know. None of them jump out at me. I think if we take a little more time we might can do better. This s a historical decision. Important to say the least. Can we knock it around a little more?

Seriously, I think this is definitively better than all other suggestions so far. I also agree that we need not rush to name the joint.

I found out how to edit the poll, I replaced poor Bob with Section 21. If at a later date we decide to rename it once again, we can. Nothing is ever written in stone around here.
