I'm sure I can turn it on. If it's off that means it was the default setting. What are you gonna do? :-s

Luckily for all of you, I won't flash. I was hoping to link to YT and embed stuff that might be of interest.

According to the main settings, flash is available. I didn't have to turn it off. Here is what it says....
Allow use of [FLASH] BBCode tag in posts: (yes)
If disallowed the [FLASH] BBCode tag is disabled in posts. Otherwise the permission system controls which users can use the [FLASH] BBCode tag.

That is not one of my favorite Springsteen songs but the performance, to me, was chilling/haunting and stunning. Thanks for posting that, man. Makes me want to take my wife up on her offer to see him in concert again sometime. Soon.

That song for me was the most interesting revelation from seeing he/them live in concert in 2000. Or was it 1999?

Me either, but it's cool we can now not get him in embedded video.

Some of the "getting" has to do with growing up in that environment/area of the country.

Some of it is the basics or R&R.

Some of it is political, much moreso now than his early years.

Sadly, my favorite Boss song is probably "Dancing in the Dark."

To post an embedded video via Flash:

1) Click on the FLASH button
2)You'll get the following:

Code: Select all

[flash=][/flash]
3) Paste the URL for the video you are linking to between the two flash messages. From youtube, I copied the following:

Code: Select all

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iQDiKGRut80&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iQDiKGRut80&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
From this, you need to keep: http://www.youtube.com/v/iQDiKGRut80&hl=en&fs=1&

4) After the = sign after the first flash enter the dimensions of the video, it will often be included in what you have copied and pasted. In this case above, you would use the values 425,344 thusly flash=425,344.

5) With all that done, you would get the following from the above:

Thanks for the tutorial, that's great. I'm not playing the video. That is my single most hated song of all time.
