Sad News For The TBCC Crowd

This past week I've had a bit of concern for my stepmom, Marilyn, as she hadn't replied to any texts or phone calls, including ones I made this morning. While I was preparing the tailgate today I asked Julie to get a hold of my stepbrother in Boston, who called in a wellness check. Unfortunately, the sheriff's department found her at home, passed away.
Many of you met her as she was at almost every tailgate, both with my father and after his own passing. It's an unexpected bookend for my week, as it started with the joy of my wedding, and ends with the news of Marilyn's loss.
I don't know any of the details, but I know that she struggled much being without my father, and I hope that she's found peace in finding him once again.

Sorry to hear that, Chris. A loss like that never goes away, but the good memories live on. Good luck to you and your new bride as you get through it.

Dear Chris,
My words fail. My heart is feeling hurt for you. I loved talking with Marilyn! She was one of my tail gating enjoyments. I loved her smartness, kindness, centeredness and curiosity. And she clearly loved you and was proud of you.
I wish you peace, and that you will cherish the best memories that you and Marilyn share.
with love,
Ted
