Poop.
Only one turnover the whole first half, and then the best player on the floor makes two costly ones at the end of the game to seal the loss. :((

It didn’t help that the refs swallowed their whistles and let a game of football break out. “Physicality” translates to cheap fouls not getting called. Amazed that the play that injured Sion didn’t draw a whistle. “Tough physical screen” should’ve equaled foul. That didn’t look clean to me; same for several other no-calls.

The refs didn't make us miss a dozen short chippies.

The team rebounding in this one is what won us the game. Everyone who played at least ten minutes bagged at least three boards. We were active on the box outs, and relentless in pursuit. Given that the refs weren't calling a lot of fouls, I thought we were very strong against a lot of contact, everywhere on the floor. They wanted to make it a blue collar game, and we reminded them what color our uniforms are.

Just as in the Kentucky game, we blow our chances with turnovers. This team has to learn to play with poise instead of panic in these close games.

What a game tonight!!! Welcome to the big time, Mr. Evans!

Unfortunately his first half didn't shine through to the second, but that's ok since the whole team played great. Actually, that's not true, because Kon had an off night offensively and we still got the job done.

I was really impressed that we finally played with poise at the end, and held the lead despite getting worked over by both Auburn and the refs.

Great game! At first, I was afraid that we would continue to get "knocked back" due to Auburn's strength and physicality -- and their shooting ability. I am immensely encouraged by what we saw: Our guys are tough, they don't back down, and we do have many weapons.

I was surprised that Evans didn't see more burn in the 2nd half. For all of his other deficiencies, he had the hot hand and his +/- must have been off the charts.

MALIQ MFFIN BROWN!!! He's so fun to watch. I knew his defense was elite, but welcome to the scorer's table! :happy-bouncyblue:

Duke moves up to #4 in the latest AP poll. Clemson is the only other ACC team in the top 25.
