So sorry to hear this. Bud and Nancy (well, the whole family) are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Thoughts and prayers to all.

Only nine days kept them apart. Love and hugs to the family.
To honor her memory, her family will receive guests on Thursday, December 22 from 4:00-7:00 pm in her home on Pecan Acres Farm at 575 Ludie Brown Road, Chinquapin, North Carolina. An additional celebration will be held at a later date in Durham, North Carolina with more details forthcoming.
I'll be looking forward to the Durham celebration.

Good morning, everyone. We certainly feel the love and support of our Crazie Talk family. Mom especially enjoyed being part of this wonderful group online and in person. I know I shall miss her endearing and often hilarious typos. She just couldn't be bothered with proofreading and I am grateful for your indulgence. We're still working on her Durham memorial and get together. I'll share the details when we decide what we're going to do. Much love and hugs to all. Go Duke!!!

Duke has kindly worked with Donna about having a memorial tailgate in the Card lot for Bud & Nancy on February 11th during the Duke - UVA basketball game, from 3 until the game is over. This is a great way to celebrate their lives and our friendship with them, doing something they both enjoyed being a part of.
Our tent will be set up, and we'll have 20 parking spaces.
I will be bringing our grill and tables, as well as the TV. The menu will be simple, with Costcos, ribs, and hamburgers.
We are still working out distribution of parking passes, but the Bryan Center parking garage is always available, too.

We have a concert to attend from 200-300/315 in Raleigh that day and plan/hope to be at the tailgate by 400. Could we "order" a parking pass as we'll not be attending the game.

Joy reminded me of another event we have after our concert so we'll not be able to attend the tailgate and that's my poor memory so my apologies. I will hoist a couple ales that afternoon/evening in their honor/memories.

Per Donna's email to Pat and Jeremy (the guys who set up our tents on game days) expected attendance is around 30.
That's wonderful, I know Bud & Nancy would love it.
