This old lady is leading a sheltered life. What's with all the patting themselves on the top of the head after a play these days? Have I missed something? Some sign? Some signal?

I hadn't noticed, now I'll have to look for it. Maybe someone was a good boy?Ima Facultiwyfe wrote: ↑January 27th, 2022, 8:06 amThis old lady is leading a sheltered life. Re: Enlighten me
Good question - I was wondering the same thing. I have seen Duke do this a few times and then saw someone on another team. I just did some googling and it seems like something you do after a dunk, mainly when you are dunking on someone. I guess it isn't seen as showing the other guy up, though I'm not sure.Ima Facultiwyfe wrote: ↑January 27th, 2022, 8:06 amThis old lady is leading a sheltered life. I guess it's something like patting yourself on the back without having to actually reach your own back? Bless their creative hearts.

Maybe it’s in lieu of a high 5 or fist bump, neither of which is a good idea in the age of Covid?
Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.
