Deservedly or not, IF it is a lopsided blowout in the baby blues favor (which is what I sadly expect), the cries for Cutcliffe to step aside are going to approach a deafening roar.
But who knows, maybe we surprise the hell out of everyone. Of course if we lose to Charlotte, the above thought is moot. (Losing to Charlotte actually won't surprise me; they don't suck.)

The Cheaters lost again yesterday, albeit to a team that we also lost to. I think it going to come to pass that Mack Brown (for now) is a solid recruiter, but not so great of a coach, at least not in his twilight. Talent will win lots of games, though.
There is no question that Carolina has more talent on the field than we do this coming weekend.

I watched some of the UVA-UNC game, and Virginia had lots of success running. I imagine we are going to be relying heavily on our ground game. Given Chase's penchant for suckitude and an abundance of INT's, I'm ok with that. Whether in the air or on the ground, Duke HAS to hold on to the ball, otherwise this one is going to be a blowout quickly.

I'm surprised at the "only" 9 points. Of course, knowing these two teams, if I were a betting man, I'd jump on that.

1. Duke defense and special teams will force multiple turnovers holding down Carolina scoring.
2. Duke offense will click, achieve balance running and passing, and execute time consuming scoring drives

I'm not making a prediction. I haven't yet this season, and I sure won't start for this game. I am merely hoping it's a good game and lots of fun.

TNT and I were watching the 2013 game when it aired last night; I had totally forgotten that it was down to literally the last few seconds. I'll be happy if tomorrow is not so close, and even happier if we are leading at the end.

Glad I decided not to watch.

It's not only because this game. It's no surprise we got beat today, but I was at least holding out hope we'd be competitive.
We weren't though, and have been playing below our talent level for much of the season.

At the end of the season, Dr. White and Coach Cutcliffe need to sit down and hash out a retirement plan. Let Cut walk away with his head in the air, and with our gratitude for all that he has done at Duke.
