Arthur was much needed. We were getting pretty dry, and the rain made my gardens happy.
Now, Arthur has come and gone, and we are on day three of natural seasonal rain. There was three inches of standing water in my back yard this morning.

No rain from Arthur, but the front from the west/southwest. 4” in the gauge emptied yesterday morning, 3” more in it this morning from overnight rain in Greensboro. More rain coming today and tomorrow. :9f:

Sounds like tailgate weather.

Tropical Storm Bertha formed and made landfall quickly. It produced rain in Hampton Roads.

Looks like my friends on the Gulf Coast are next in line for the fun.

Cristobal now looks like it’s headed more to the east of Galveston. Louisiana is the target.

Thanks, Bob! When I looked online I saw that Cristobal is going to be weak, which is good news. From the looks of that track, it could end up coming over StL.

Yep, Cristobal is going to be dropping rain on us tonight/tomorrow morning.

Cristobal brought us 4.5" here at our house in Iowa! Was necessary as I just bought a new rain gauge and had to have a downpour to be sure it worked. Less than 4.5" would've been enuf however.

Looks like there is a decent chance we'll be visited by Isaisisissais this week.
I'm filling up gas cans today. :wizard:

We have to drive to King's Mtn today. (Other side of Charlotte.) So doing prep today. Hoping that with storm coming at least the traffic back home tomorrow will be light.

I’m headed to Lexington Park, MD tomorrow morning, returning home Tuesday. Hopefully, Isaias is out to sea by Tuesday but I am bringing my work computer with me in case I have to stay an extra day or two.

Thankfully Isaias is not expected to become a hurricane again, although it is so close to being one that it's a matter of semantics.
I don't expect to get much sleep tomorrow night, as it is expected to track over us between Monday night and Tuesday morning.

I swear, out of off the storms I've been through, only a couple have come in during the day. I need my beauty sleep, dammit!

Isaias is expected to officially be a hurricane again when it landfalls somewhere around Myrtle Beach/Wilmington.

CB&B, I hope you ride this one out without any problems. (I'm not even attempting the name. It's like fingernails on a blackboard). :9f:

Yeah it is!

I'm closing up shop early today to make sure I've got our generator and power cords ready. It won't surprise me if we lose power.
