How do you like your eggs?

Post by Miles » August 10th, 2009, 12:02 pm

9/10 I'm gonna have my eggs sunnyside up. I might go for scrambled or omelettes but I often find them to be over cooked.

I love eggs.

Over easy - but an omelet is good also.

Scrambled, scrambled or scrambled (and an omlet is just a scrambled egg with 'stuff' in it.)

Scrambled eggs cooked in the pan that I just fried the bacon in. Yum.

Or Matzo Brei - again scrambled with 'stuff' - finest kind.

Over medium.

I noticed that "fertilized" was not an option. :D :))

Not quite my dear windsor. The method of preparation changes texture which enhances flavor of the egg differently. They are quite unique dishes when cooked properly.

ok - I'll give you that - I do not eat eggs when I can identify the yolk/white. I'll change mine to 'crack the eggs into a bowl and beat/stir them' - after that do anything you want and I'll eat them. :)) :))

I've always refused to eat eggs if the yolk runs at all. Scrambled or omelet for me. Love me some quiche and fritatta as well.

I love quiche! Can't believe I forgot it on my list of ways I'll eat eggs!

I've recently learned to make quiche. It's a modified form of Paula Deen's recipe, which of course means that it's ridonkulously delicious and bad for you.

Over easy.
Otherwise fried (a fried egg sandwich is always good).
Scrambled.
Soft boiled.
Omelette (westerns are, by far, the best).

Not a huge fan of quiche but some of them can be really really good.

Soft scrambled with cheese is tasty.

I'll eat them over-easy - so a runny yolk but cooked where the whites meet the yolk. If I have them scrambled - they must be dry.

Cooked. The only way I won't eat an egg is raw.

I love fried sunny side up eggs, but nothing beats a ham, cheese, mushroom, and spinach omelette. Except a ham cheese, mushroom and jalepeno omelette. Or a bacon omelette with parsley and swiss. OR an onion, green pepper and cheese omelette. Or......
I like omelettes.

Do you ever nibble cookie dough or lick the beaters?

Egg Nog - a family favorite at Christmas.

But I won't swallow a raw egg a la Rocky.

Chocolate chip cookie dough is better than chocolate chip cookies!

Please refrain from mentioning this. Every time I've been in the grocery store over the last month I've been fighting the urge to buy a tube of Pillsbury's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. I never make the cookies - I just eat the dough with a spoon and a large glass of ice cold milk.
