Howdy errrrbody! I hope everyone has sufficiently recovered from the heartbreak that was the Carolina game.

So I believe the phrase is: Next play!

And the next play looks to be quite a show! For the first time in my long history with Duke Football, Notre Dame will come to town and Wallace Wade. Notre Dame is coming off a squeaker up at VaTech. We pounded VaTech into small grains of sand. Ergo, I have no idea what to expect in this game.

But, perhaps "Good" Duke will show up and play the entire and Duke pull-off a "shock the world" victory? That's my hope.

Weather looks good. Very chilly but, nice and dry. Hope to see everybody on Saturday!

Now, on to what I DO know, and that's the menu for Saturday night so, let's take a look. A top-shelf team deserves a top-shelf tailgate, so that's what we're gonna do!

Two devildeacs will report with 5 guests for a total of 7. We will all bring the appropriate legal tender. I will bring beer to taste and trade. At least one of the guests likes beer and will bring his fair share as he did to an earlier tailgate this year. We are discussing what side item we will bring, too, and will report that later tonight or tomorrow.

Can't wait to see all again! Will be 2 of us this weekend. GO DUKE!!!

Late Saturday kickoffs are not conducive to Rev LG's Sunday schedule, and I'm a bit under the weather.

Yell very loudly on my behalf.

Rodney and Beth McLain will be there (2). We can't get there until well after 3 - hope there is lots of that good food left then!

David and Debra Welsh 2 of us will be there. We’ll bring a dip and crackers.

So, I'm going to post a bit more information or, if you will, a request, about this weekend's tailgate. We're going to begin serving the starters 3:30-4PM so, if your plan is to show-up just prior to the Devil Walk, we can't guarantee that any of the (hot) appetizers will be available for consumption.

Not doing this to be punitive or force folks to radically alter plans, it's just a matter of logistics and grill-space. Put plainly, we can't be dishing-up appetizers just as the band is assembling in front of our tent and then be expected to serve the main courses thirty minutes later.

Not really optimum dining to be just starting in on your appetizer only to have the main course roll-out at that exact time. But, maybe that's just me?

Green Family is bringing a bottle of Brandy to complement the Hot Apple Cider.

Tom and I will be there, along with Kathleen and two of her grandsons, for a total of five. We will have cash to feed the jar , and I will bring footlong buns. I’m not sure what beer we will bring for tasting.

I forgot to post that we will need three additional tickets. If anyone has tickets available, please let me know.
