Duke is a 6 points favorite with the Over/Under set at 48. ESPN FPI gives Duke a 73.7% chance to win. Sagarin Ratings have Duke at #41 and Pitt at #59.

Duke needs to protect home turf and win this game!

Agree with that last line for sure! Surprised that the line is only 6 for Duke, but whatever. After our very impressive VT showing, and Pitt's less than impressive win over the elite Blue Hens of Delaware, this could be a trap game built around emotions. So...just focus and keep on keeping on.

My score prediction, Duke 31, Pitt 20

These Duke - Pitt games have been seriously high scoring affairs but I still believe our defense is really, really good and also healthy. Duke is surrendering 13.7 points per game (ignoring Alabama which I have no qualms doing) while Pitt has scored 19.2 ppg. Another factor is Pitt has not had a bye week yet. Saturday night's game will be their sixth straight week in action. The bumps and bruises could be adding up...

Duke 27, Pitt 16

I pay attention to that first half only. Which was pretty damn impressive for our D.
Extrapolate your thoughts on Pitt not having a bye week yet and compare it to Duke's 2nd half against the Tide. At some point, you can only hold back the dam breaking for so long.

Per Steve Wiseman on Twitter, Brittain Brown will undergo shoulder surgery and be out for the season. I expect we will start to see more of true freshman Jaylen Coleman.

RB Depth Chart: Deon Jackson (#25), Mataeo Durant (#21), Jaylen Coleman (#22), Jordan Waters (#7)

In addition to Brown, Marvin Hubbard (#20) is out injured.

That sucks, but Jackson can be a machine...and you left off one of our other top runners. Quentin Harris. :D
I have confidence that we'll continue to do a great job running the ball.
