Duke is currently a 9.5 points underdog with the Over/Under set at 51 points. The team will have to generate some turnovers to win this game and we have not been good at generating turnovers this season. I'm not conceding the game but I admit it will be tough to leave Coral Gables with a W.

Here's hoping the team proves the "Debbie Downer" fan base wrong. B-)

The injuries that have piled up are taking their toll, for sure. I'm still trying to figure out what happened to our defense, and injuries have to play a factor. I'm trying to figure out how we hold GT to such low numbers, and then give up an outrageous amount of rushing yardage against Pitt.
I watched the Miami/BC game. Miami is not a particularly good team, and their QB, while overall plays strong, is prone to mistakes and turnovers. Hopefully Duke takes advantage of those, while keeping that stupid chain of Miami's in the box.

From the GoDuke Game Notes:
• This week’s tilt features the ACC’s top passing defense in Miami against a Duke air attack that leads the league in TD-to-INT ratio (21:4) ... The Hurricanes rank second in the conference in INTs with 12 while the Blue Devils have thrown a league-low four INTs (tied with Georgia Tech & Virginia Tech) to go along with tossing an ACC-best 21 scoring passes
• The Duke offense features three players — TE Davis Koppenhaver (5), WR Johnathan Lloyd (5) & WR T.J. Rahming (6) — who have 5+ TD receptions each ... Duke is the only school in the ACC with multiple players with 5+ TD receptions
I knew we were having a low interception season but it escaped me we were leading the ACC in TD passes. B-)

Turnovers will be the key Saturday night. We better create some while taking care of the football ourselves.

That sounds like a good combo. Looks like the forecast is for rain in Miami tomorrow. (80% scattered storms).
Hopefully will be wetter during the day and clearing out by game time.

It is the combo we wore in the 27-17 victory over Carolina last season.

I'm not feeling very optimistic this morning:

Miami 40, Duke 24

I have no idea what to expect. Both teams have the ability to be good, both teams have the ability to be bad. Hopefully Duke decides to be be the team we saw against Northwestern, and Miami is the team that played UVA.
